Enzyme and colorimetric kits are widely used in wine analysis to detect and measure the content of various parameters such as sugars, organic acids, and other components such as sulfites, phenols and metals.
Various enzymatic methods have been approved as official methods by a number of international organizations, including the OIV. As a leading company in the wine sector, Steroglass offers a series of solutions that can satisfy any winery or wine laboratory need, such as:
- universal enzyme and colorimetric test kits;
- automatic and semiautomatic analyzers.
Steroglass kit features
Our kits:
- are in liquid form and ready to use;
- allow fast, accurate and repeatable analyses, especially if used with automatic analyzers such as our Hyperlab instruments;
- guarantee high specificity, low analysis costs and a long shelf life (24 months on average).
Direct reading analyzers, such as the Steroglass Hyperlab series, ensure the lowest possible consumption of reagent, thus allowing considerable savings in operating costs. They can in fact independently perform all the operations required by manual analytical procedures: the sampling arm collects the sample as well as the various reagents. Both the sample and the reagents are then dispensed into a reaction cuvette, where they remain at a constant, controlled temperature for the time necessary to complete the reaction.
The Hyperlab Analyzer
With over 400 units installed, Hyperlab is by far the most widely used automatic analyzer in Italian winemaking. Thanks to Hyperlab, the user can prepare the samples and start the analysis they want in just a few seconds; it works independently, making it possible to perform several analyses at the same time.
Hyperlab automation guarantees great accuracy and precision of results, with analysis costs that are seven times lower than those of manual methods, because minimal quantities of reagent are needed for each single determination.
The Hyperlab family includes the PLUS, BASIC and SMART models, to meet the analysis needs of laboratories and wineries of all sizes.
Monitoring of grape ripeness and grape and must quality; controlling of alcoholic, malolactic and acetic fermentation; checking of stabilization processes and pre-bottling quality control are the main applications of our Hyperlabs. Steroglass’s highly qualified and extremely competent technical staff also guarantee quick, efficient analytical consultancy service and after-sales assistance; in addition to this, our Research & Development team is always seeking innovative solutions for making the oenologist’s job easier every day.
